Nelson Community Services Society

Offers emergency shelter and support services for abused women and their children who are at risk of violence or have experienced violence. The transition house provides safe, supportive accommodation where women can review options and make decisions. Staff are available to provide emotional support, information and supports for decision making, referrals, safety plans, and links to affordable housing, even if a woman is not yet prepared to or needing to stay at the transition house.
