National Overdose Response Service

Provides confidential overdose peer support to substance users who are about to use drugs alone. A caller is connected to a virtual overdose supervisor who will monitor them while they use drugs. If there is a concern of overdose during the call, the supervisor will connect with local 9-1-1 dispatch services. The 24-hour hotline can be accessed from anywhere within Canada. Staff and volunteers are trauma informed and are able to provide harm reduction and substance use information, resources and referrals if requested during the call.
